General Info on Sisters Islands

The Sisters’ Islands are the main part of the first Singapore Marine Park, which spans about 40 hectares across Sisters’ Islands and along the western reefs of both St John’s Island and Pulau Tekukor. Both Sisters islands (Pulau Subar Laut and Pulau Subar Darat) were earmarked by NPARKS as a platform for outreach, educational, conservation and research activities related to Singapore marine biodiversity. The two islands are separated by a narrow channel with multiple tidal stream and currents which are extremely dangerous to swimmers, snorkelers and divers, as result of these water, the marine life is rich with a variety of habitats including coral reefs, sandy shores and seagrass areas.

Getting there by boat

Approximate Position: 1.2146° N, 103.8350° E

Berthing | Landing: The West jetty will not allow any vessel without prior approval.

Berthing | Landing: The East jetty is for pick up/drop off only

  • There are six mooring buoys around the islands, to use these you should seek NPARKS approval before attaching
  • No anchoring in the marine park designated area
  • No fishing in the marine park
  • No beaching inside the marine park
  • Strong and multiple direction tidal streams do swim, snorkel or dive without experience.
