Pulau Sarimbun – A fantastic Island to visit
Sarimbun has a funny little history, the Island in which a British man proclaimed as his own kingdom in the 1930s is located in the Johor Straight west of the causeway.
Pulau Sarimbun is a small island situated along the Straits of Johor, off the north-western coast of Singapore. As compared to the other Islands located within Singapore waters, it is relatively small with an area of only 1.4 hectares. William Arthur Bates Goodall was a regular visitor in the 1920s and subsequently lived there permanently in the 1930s until his death in 1941.
Pulau Sarimbun is inside the SAFTI Live Firing Area, on the east side is a dedicated waterski area.

Berthing | Landing: It is strictly for military purposes only and is one of the several Islands in Singapore that is prohibited to the public.
Sometimes the island is open to study groups, let us know if you have been there.
