WING IN GROUND (W.I.G) CRAFT “AIRFISH VOYAGER” TRIAL FLIGHTS OFF CHANGI EAST ANCHORAGES

Port Notice (No. 94 of 2024) from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore details upcoming trial flights of the “Airfish Voyager,” a Wing In Ground (W.I.G) craft. The notice, applicable to the shipping, harbor craft, and pleasure craft communities, informs mariners of the operational details for safe navigation in the vicinity.

Trial Schedule and Location

The trials will take place on November 14 and 15, 2024, from 11:00 to 13:00 hours each day. The trials will be conducted off Changi East Anchorage, within an area marked on the chartlet area below

Craft and Support Vessels

The “Airfish Voyager” (MMSI No. 533130636) will be the main W.I.G craft conducting trial flights. Supporting vessels include speedboats (KAIROS S9 ASIA, KAIROS M7, KAIROS S9 RAFFLES, and WHALY 10) and tugboats (SSE EVANKA and SSE ERICA). All vessels will display appropriate day and night signals.

Safety Measures

Mariners are instructed to avoid the designated test area during the trials, maintain a proper lookout, and navigate cautiously at a safe speed. Mariners are also advised to monitor VHF Channel 12 (East Control) for updates and assistance if required. Safety boats will patrol the vicinity to warn approaching craft of the trial activities.
