Energy Observer Stopover Singapore arrives in Singapore ONE15 Marina

ONE15 Marina welcomes Energy Observer to Singapore

Energy Observer arrives in ONE15 Marina Singapore, the Odyssey’s first major stopover in Asia.

Energy Observer is a zero-emission laboratory for ecological transition designed to push back the limits of zero-emission technologies. Hydrogen, solar, wind and tidal power, all the various solutions are experimented with, tested and optimised onboard with a view to making clean energies a practical reality that is accessible to all.

As one of the world’s foremost maritime nations, Singapore’s maritime industry has already initiated and funded enormously towards decarbonisation and clean energy resources. While many alternative fuel solutions are being tested by the shipping industry, Energy Observer will allow key industry stakeholders, shipowners, investors, shipyards, and design offices a real-life practical view of future technologies onboard a vessel.

Energy Observer Arrives in Singapore

“Energy Observer is an experimental platform for tomorrow’s energies. An innovative, revolutionary vessel that sails without harming the planet. Its electric propulsion is powered by renewable energies: sun, wind, marine currents. But what makes it unique is its ability to store its energy in the form of hydrogen produced from seawater, a technology that allows it to sail in total autonomy. Meaning must be given to innovation, for it to respond to the challenges humanity faces today. ” – Victorien Erussard, Captain and founder of Energy Observer
