Boating Singapore To Phuket November 2021
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Singapore port has always stayed open but has been heavily restrictive for vessels and crew to enter and exit. Each vessel leaving or arriving was a case by case matter, this resulted in very few boats entering Singapore for months and only a couple leaving, if they were leaving they didn’t intend to come back.
The typical Phuket “high Season” has just begun, this is normally when boats will be making their way from Singapore to Phuket, taking advantage of generally good cruising weather and setting up a base for the season. Singapore to Phuket is a well established route, some boats have the capabilities to reach Phuket in one shot and others will plan to stop by the Malaysian marina’s for fuel, supplies and anchorage. During the pandemic Malaysia has been under ‘Movement Control Order (MCO)” luckily for boaters and if you had agents support you could still stop for fuel and anchorage as long as you continued on your way.
Capt. Manjit Singh and John Magel delivered a brand new 62ft Princess yacht from Singapore to Phuket. We had planned to give a more thorough detail of the trip but with immigration and procedural changes imminent, we haven’t given a full breakdown of this process but plan to make it once the process becomes more stable, if you do need further details you can contact Manjit Singh at Hans Yacht Services.
