“Wade Pearce from SG Marine Guide gave an old salt (I’ve been 32 yrs sailing out of Singapore) some great tips for enjoying this cool anchorage with a yacht our size (Jeanneau 53). We anchored in the eastern end on the souther side of this ground (opposite the causeway connecting St Johns and Lazarus Islands) in 14m of water under our 2.3m keel on sand. The anchor set easily and held well overnight despite the very active, swirling tidal eddies adjacent to the causeway. Very peaceful spot…like you’re hundreds of miles away from Singapore.
