Why we need to grow boating in Singapore
Over the past decade, the Singapore boating community has experienced periods of growth and contraction, influenced by changing local and regional offerings. Despite this, the industry continues to face ongoing structural challenges. Gaps in industry leadership, communication, and investment in parts, servicing, and technical capability are increasingly evident. Addressing these areas will be important in supporting skills development, improving standards, and strengthening the overall boating ecosystem in Singapore.
When it comes to regulation, training, and service for the boating industry we are currently unable to access the various government agencies that manage port waters, immigration, manpower, and land which continues to hamper the viability of the industry. With Grow Boating Singapore, we hope this will encourage a collective voice and fair explanation of current industry issues, of which Singapore Boating Industry Association or other boating associations can approach the relevant government agencies and other industry bodies with a collective voice to be involved in policy, safety, promotion and communications

Another successful Grow Boating Singapore on July 5th, many new faces continue to join Grow Boating Singapore from all different sectors of the industry including brokers, agents, suppliers, marinas, captains, and shipyards all with a desire for a stronger network of professionals in the yachting industry.
