St John’s Island of Singapore – A beautiful place to enjoy weekends
St John’s Island is the more built up of the three connecting islands of Lazarus Island and Pulau Seringat in the Singapore Southern Islands, only in the 2000s has the bridge existed between Lazarus and St Johns making the whole area a much more expansive space. St Johns pier is the main ferry drop off/pick up, you can also visit the St John’s Island National Marine Laboratory and St Johns Beach. NParks have ring-fenced a research area named Bendara Bay
General Info
Located just 1km south of Sentosa, St John’s Island weather is fantastic and it has had a chequered history and was once a former leper colony and, in 1875, a quarantine post following an outbreak of cholera. Since the development of the Southern Islands, St Johns is now one of the most well-known islands in Singapore and is a popular destination for boaters, kayakers, jet skis, boat, and yacht charters as it is protected from prevailing winds and boat traffic.
Highlight
