Extension of Temporary Closure of St John’s Island and Kusu Island Jetties

23 September 2025 — Singapore

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has announced that the St John’s Island Jetty and the Kusu Island Bumboat Jetty will be closed from 23 September 2025 until 23 March 2026, with the closure period subject to extension.

This means that boats and visitors will not be able to embark or disembark at these two jetties during the six-month closure.

Alternative Access for Visitors

The islands remain open to the public, with alternative jetties available:

St John’s Island: Accessible via Seringat Jetty (maximum loading capacity: 150 tonnes).

Kusu Island: Accessible via the main jetty.

The closure is expected to support essential works, but visitors can still enjoy both islands by planning trips through the designated alternative jetties.
