Singapore Yachting Festival 2023 | Opening Ceremony 27 April

The Singapore Yachting Festival kicked off on Thursday 27 April 2023, with an enthusiastic introduction from the event organiser Wade Pearce – Founder of SG Marine Guide, “The mere fact that this event has come alive (after only six weeks to prepare) speaks volumes about the regional boating industry and demands of the Asian boating community, it’s really a tribute to the growing boating culture in our part of the world.” Venue Host Arthur Tay – Chairman of ONE˚15 Marina echoed the developments, “In parallel with the Singapore government initiative to attract UHNI and family offices to Singapore, we are seeing those individuals also invest in a luxury lifestyle which includes owning a superyacht.”

With the speeches over, Pearce and Tay were joined by Kwee Eng Thien – CEO of Sentosa Development Corporation to continue official proceedings to open the event on the docks with a traditional lion dance, ribbon cutting, and – naturally – all the boats in the marina sounding their horns. After the opening, the group toured some yachts and explored the festival area. “My heartiest congratulations to Arthur Tay and his team ONE15 Marina and Wade Pearce for bringing premier yachting festivities back to Singapore as we strive to be the desired yachting destination for world-class events!” said Kwee.
